Job Overview: A Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing or production facility. They manage production staff, ensure that production schedules are met, and maintain quality control standards. The Production Supervisor monitors workflow, resolves any issues that arise during production, and implements safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. They also coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance and quality assurance, to ensure efficient and effective production processes. Their role is essential in achieving productivity goals and maintaining high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and run jobs to produce high quality machined parts
- Monitor employee performance and focus on areas of opportunity to maximize team performance
- Encourage and facilitate communication between work areas and shifts
- Use your strong working knowledge of manufacturing systems, quality requirements, industrial engineering, and tool engineering
- Follow safe work practices and ensure others do the same
- Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers.
- Perform other tasks as assigned and required.
Qualifications:
- Have 2-3 years’ experience as a supervisor, in manufacturing preferred
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to maintain a clean and safe 5S work environment
- Maintain excellent Punctuality and Attendance
- Have strong Problem-solving skills
